AAA Equipment Center is a fast growing Outdoor Power Equipment dealership in North Central Minnesota and we are looking to add a new, full-time/seasonal full time team member to our, energetic and professional service department that will help us provide an even greater level of customer service to our clients!

What The Job Entails…

As a technician at AAA Equipment Center you will work on a variety of outdoor power equipment, construction equipment, ATVs and snowmobiles as well as maintaining and repairing items from our rental fleet. Trouble shooting, looking up parts and break downs, contacting manufacturing tech departments, welding/fabricating, estimating repair times, meeting efficiency goals and working with our team to provide the highest level of customer service possible.

A technician working for AAA Equipment Center must pride themselves on their work. Will need to be organized, have strong communication skills with a desire to learn. The technician should have solid grades and excellent attendance. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, methodical, clean, and organized, makes them a valuable key player on our team. We want someone looking to advance and make a difference in their career.

If you are someone looking to punch in and punch out and do as little as possible to get by, you won’t be here long; that includes being someone unwilling to do whatever it takes to get the job done (i.e. stepping outside your comfort zone to learn something new). If “can’t” is a big part of your vocabulary this job isn’t for you. Tardiness, showing up unfit for work, language and ill treatment of your co-workers and customers is unacceptable.

What You Need

  • 1st or 2nd year students may apply
  • Solid understanding of 2 and 4 stroke Engines, Carburation, Electrical System, Diagnostics, Hydraulics, CVTs…
  • Additional experience is great but not mandatory
  • Tools: basic hand tools and small engine specific tools, tool box, (we do not expect you to have every specialty tool you will need, but we do expect you to keep adding as you learn what you need).
  • Computer skills: looking up parts, typing information on work orders, finding information on service items.
  • Attitude: Positive, Willing, Team Player, FUN!!
  • Ability to lift heavy items up to 100lbs.
  • Able to work indoors and outdoors, standing, sitting, kneeling, for long periods of time in a variety of weather conditions (if needed).
